In order to prevent chipped or worn teeth from occurring, it’s important to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing at least twice a day, and avoiding the overconsumption of substances that can damage the teeth. This should include limiting the intake of sugary food and drink, and avoiding other substances such as excessive coffee, alcohol and tobacco.

 When playing contact sports such as rugby, you should also wear a protective mouthguard to help soften any impact to the teeth and weaken their structure.
