Anti Snoring Devices

At Square Mile Dental Centre, we can offer patients anti-snoring devices from Sleepwell to help them find a more peaceful night’s sleep. Snoring can affect the sleep of both the patient, and their partner, interrupting the rest they need and even causing sleepless nights for some. That’s why we offer this device to our patients – with just a simple device that’s worn only whilst you sleep, we can help you (and your partner) catch up on some much-needed Zs.

Sleepwell Anti-Snoring devices are custom made for each individual patient and effectively prevent the lower jaw from dropping while you sleep. This prevents the closure of the airways while sleeping, which in turn prevents snoring from occurring. The device is fully adjustable for the patient, allowing for a high level of comfort and it also features a soft inner lining which means the jaw – while being prevented from dropping down – can still comfortably move from side to side. Sleepwell Anti-Snoring devices can also be used to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), a condition in which the airways narrow as the patient sleeps, causing trouble breathing in the night and leading to very disruptive sleep patterns and other issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it painful?

In clinical trials, the Sleepwell Anti-Snoring device was deemed comfortable by 97% of patients. The soft inner lining and easy adjustability by the patient means you should be comfortable throughout the night and able to make any changes as needed.

Why do I need to treat my snoring?

The most important reason for treating snoring is to help you achieve a better night’s sleep. Poor quality of sleep or lack of sleep can lead to a lack of energy or fatigue during the day, stress, anxiety, lower brain function and cognition, mood swings, and a higher likelihood of accidents. Your snoring may also be affecting and producing these same symptoms in your partner or anyone else you live with. If you snore regularly, then it may also be a sign that you have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA).

When do I wear my anti-snoring device?

Your anti-snoring device should be worn every night.

Are there any side effects?

You may experience some slight discomfort when you first start wearing your Sleepwell Anti-Snoring device. As you get used to wearing it, this discomfort should lessen.

Case Study: Implant Success with Dr. Patel at Square Mile Dental** 🦷

Meet Tim, who came to us with a long-standing issue with his front tooth that had become discolored due to a past injury. After careful consultation, we determined that the best course of action would be to replace the dead tooth with a single implant that mimics the look and feel of a natural tooth.

Dr. Patel’s approach was thorough and precise, ensuring that the result would blend seamlessly with Tim’s healthy teeth. The result? A perfectly natural-looking smile where you can’t even tell a tooth was replaced!

After 17 years of being with us at Square Mile, Tim continues to trust us with his dental care, and we’re proud to have transformed not just his smile, but also his confidence in visiting the dentist.

At Square Mile Dental, our mission is to ensure that every patient feels at ease, receives painless and effective treatment, and leaves with a smile they love.
