Being a state of the art dental clinic means we carry out all treatments using the most up-to-date technology, including two microscopes, dental lasers and two digital intraoral scanners (digital dental impressions). This technology allows us to streamline our processes whilst providing exceptional quality in a comfortable manner within our dental surgeries.
Trios Intra Oral Scanners
We have two digital Intra Oral scanners which replace conventional dental impressions and means our moulds are now ‘less messy’. This technology allows us to accurately capture on a screen, the shape of your teeth and the way you bite together, within a few minutes. This type of digital dentistry is perfect for a number of treatments, including: crowns, bridge work , porcelain veneers, and lots more. Taking digital impressions is more comfortable and is much faster than digitally scanning a mouth. The accuracy of digital impressions and the resulting crowns means even better fitting restorations. We can also use the Trios Scanner for Invisalign teeth straightening or other orthodontic treatments. The TRIOS® digital impression solution solves many inaccuracies, often experienced in conventional dental impressions or moulds. They provide more accurate impressions from the start, while additionally giving dentists all the advantages of modern digital technologies.
Zeiss Dental Microscopes
Working under a dental microscope allows our highly skilled dentists to have more precise, magnified vision, and the possibilities offered by modern microscope systems have enormously extended the limits of visualisation. Particularly in the field of endodontics (root canal treatments), the microscope is now generally recognised as an essential element in a dentist’s daily armamentarium. Beyond the endodontic (root canal) practice, the role of the microscope in our restorative dentistry to further enhance the quality of the work has become invaluable. Using a dental microscope allows us to obtain better aesthetic outcomes and conserve long term dental health for our patients.
Dental Lasers and Laser Dentistry
Our Square Mile dental team provides treatments using Soft Tissue Diode Lasers, which have a number of uses. Each laser dental treatment is conducted by a member of our experienced team to give you the best possible results. The equipment has many uses, allowing us to treat more complex cases that normally wouldn’t be possible without a dental laser, such as gum contouring or crown lengthening. Laser dentistry effectively replaces the surgical scalpel, and due to the way it works it allows faster healing, less bleeding, less scarring and less anaesthesia.
